Many online sharing videos and movies are in MKV format. We can play MKV files with QuickTime with Mac Perian installed or VLC player on Mac OS computer. If you want to get these MKV files into you mobile devices iPad, iPhone or iPod, you have to add them into iTunes library first. And if you want to upload MKV files to iTunes library, the first thing would be to convert MKV to iTunes friendly formats, like MP4, MOV.

Step1. Load MKV files
Launch MKV to iTunes converter for Mac, click "Add" or directly drag and drop MKV files to the program.
Step2. Choose output format
Click the clickable icon just before 3D button to enter Profile panel in which you can choose MP4 in "Common Video" or Apple device videos like iPod, iPhone, iPad, etc. in "Apple" column.
Click "+" button to do some settings for the video such as video/audio codec, quality, bit rate, frame rate and so forth.
Step4. Video editing
To better the video output effect, you can edit the video by clicking "Edit" button on the top interface. You are allowed to Trim, Crop, Rotation, adjusting Effect and adding watermark.
Step5. Start to convert MKV to iTunes on Mac
Back to the home interface and click on the "Convert" button to start to convert MKV to iTunes. When the process finished, launch iTunes and sync those converted video to iTunes.
